If you’ve heard of Bristish pop group Goldfrapp then you know they’re outrageously good at serving up some gourmet electro disco music…but did you know that lead singer Alison was also a baker? Okay, I admit that this isn’t really a serious cooking demonstration but it definitely fulfills the required elements for my ‘cute rockers in the kitchen’ obsession.
(If you’re viewing via RSS click through to our Goldfrapp page to view Alison whipping up some Black Cherry Cake!)
I’ve been digging up some unique cooking footage of celebrities in the kitchen. While it’s not always Food Network quality, it’s certainly entertaining, especially if you enjoy watching cute pop stars do silly things…and that includes getting whacked with large ceremonial paper fans. Three jpop stars from the Japanese band Kat-tun are put to the challenge of making tiramisu, but the only help they have is from an Italian chef.
(If you’re reading via RSS you’ll need to click through to Kung Foodie and then hit the play button below the vid screen.)
Here’s a quick Italian / English translation so you’ll at least know what the chef is saying. The poor Kat-tun boys have to figure it out on their own.
I’ve had The Jenville Show in my bookmarks for a couple years, and unfortunately it hasn’t been updated in awhile…but that doesn’t take away from the awesomeness of watching Jack Black share his secret recipe for Dorito Burritos.
Jennifer Robbins, culinary enthusiast and devoted rock fan, created the The Jenville Show which features a number of short interviews with different musicians and bands on the topic of cooking.
